Christine with one of her daughters |
A British woman
Christine Davies and her two young daughters have been declared missing by
Portugese police.
Davies is the subject of a police manhunt after vanishing
earlier this month with her young daughters Lily and Ruby Rodwell.
A warning has been sent to ports and airports around the
country, but Mr Rodwell says there is no evidence Miss Davies has left Algarve
The young woman had recently started a new job as a waitress
in a local tapas bar – but she has also failed to show up to work.
Police have interviewed the owner of the bar and have also
spoken to Mr Rodwell twice.
Miss Davies’ worried partner said: “I have no doubts
Christine has left voluntarily but I'm concerned for her emotional wellbeing
and obviously our children.
“She loves them and I'm sure wouldn't do them any harm – but
that doesn't mean they're not at risk if she's emotionally not in the right
frame of mind.
“I’ve put missing posters in the windows of shops and local
businesses in towns across the Algarve.
“I really want her to contact the authorities so I know the
children are okay, even if she doesn't want to come home.”
He added: “I’m not going to lie, we had our ups and downs
and arguments.
“But the situation wasn't that bad that she needed to run
off like she has.”
A neighbour claims to have seen Miss Davies being picked up
from the house in a rented car.
