Kidnappers Kill Popular Benin-based Musician After Payment Of N500,000 Ransom

uspected kidnappers have killed a popular Benin-based musician, Omoregbe Okpeyen, aka `Bayo Ade’.
Ade’s younger brother and Manager, Etchie Peter, said that the kidnappers had abducted the musician on Sept. 4 as he was preparing for a music show later that day.
He said the kidnappers demanded a N10 million ransom for the release of the musician but added that the family could only raise N500,000 because it was on a Sunday.
When they got there they found Ade’s corpse in the boot of an abandoned car.The manager said: ``After several directives from the kidnappers on where to drop the ransom, they asked us to go to Ewah Road by Ikpoba Slope and that we should hurry that my brother has been shot.''www.mannastores.com
