1938 U.S.A. Superman Appears For The First Time 1st June 1938 : Superman created by American writer Jerry Siegel and Canadian artist Joe Shuster made his first appearance in D.C. Comics’ Action Comics Series issue #1 which sold for 10 cents.

"Dennis the Menace" creator Hank Ketcham died in Pebble Beach, Calif., at age 81.
