Army to conduct live fire exercise in Bauchi

The Nigerian Army Armour School, Bauchi, will be conducting a live firing exercise for students of Young Officers Course A2 Crewman Weapons Course and A3 Crewman Course at the Obiemu Cantonment mini Armour Range off Bauchi-Kano Road from today.

According to a statement by the spokesman of Bauchi State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed, the exercise will be conducted between Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 to Friday June 9th, 2017.
The police advised members of the public and people flying the Bauchi-Kano highway to keep away from the vicinity‎ where the exercise will be conducted.

It also stressed that people should not panic due to the movement of military personnel and equipments around the area.

"The exercise will involve movement and live firing of Armoured fighting vehicles.‎ Members of the general public are urged not to panic and advised to stay away from the Area till after the exercise," the statement reads.
