Newborn baby dumped in pit toilet in Benue State, mother arrested

A woman who alleged to the mother has been arrested by the police for allegedly throwing her newborn baby in a pit toilet in Zaki Biam, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State in the early hours of Sunday, March 19th.

The baby miraculously survived after neighbours heard the child crying from deep inside the pit and quickly rescued him. The woman is currently in police custody. Another photo after the cut.
