Residents of the Trump
Place apartment complex on Manhattan's Upper West Side started an online
petition to have the landlord of the complexes, Equity Residential, change the
name of the properties. The petition garnered almost 600 signatures and their
petition was granted.
According to CNBC, residents of the three apartment complexes received a notice Tuesday from the general manager to inform them that the signs will be removed.

A spokesperson told CNBC:
"We are
currently in the process of changing the name of the buildings at 140, 160 and
180 Riverside to their street addresses."
"We are assuming
a more neutral building identity that will appeal to all current and future
residents."
The Trump Place signs
were later seen being removed.
