The government Jigawa state is set to embark on mass mosque construction in the state. The state
government recently requested for construction firms to bid for the 90 mosques
that would be provided in all the constituencies in the state.
A statement released by Muhammad Musa, the
Chairman of the state Tender Board Committee for the project yesterday, states
that no fewer than 78 construction companies have signified interest for the
award of the contracts for construction of the mosques. The government plans to
build three mosques in each of the 30 constituencies of the state.
