According to Sky news, The death occurred has result of
partial bridge connecting the villages of Toormang and Shalfalam over the
Panjkora River in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Images also show scores of desperate
residents attempting to cross a huge flooded bridge on the outskirts of
Peshawar.
Yousuf Zia, a disaster management
official in the province, said tents and blankets were being distributed to the
homeless following the destruction of nearly 150 homes.
"There are 30 people stranded by a
landslide in the Kohistan Valley where we have sent a helicopter to rescue
them," he said.
Some of the worst affected areas include
Pakhtunkhwa, the Swat Valley situated northwest of the capital, Islamabad, and
Pakistani-administered Kashmir.
