Chief of Air Staff says Boko Haram’s days are numbered
The
Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sodique Abubakar, after commissioning a
medical laboratory at the NAF 81 Maritime Group in Benin City, Edo State,
vowed that the days of the Boko Haram sect in Nigeria were numbered adding
that provisions made for the Nigerian Air Force in the 2016 budget would
improve its operations and completely defeat the terrorists.
He said:
“We are at the tail end
of the war against Boko Haram. One of their enclaves, Alagarnu, has just been
taken over. I was in the North-East a few days ago and I believe that we are at
the tail end of this operation.” “The last time we came, we didn’t have a
laboratory.
But today, we have a
well equipped laboratory. Professionalism is not just about training and
equipping the soldier but also taking care of the welfare of the soldier.
“A professional soldier
can also fall sick. That is why we need to provide a laboratory, which we have
done.”
