Apple’s iPhone 5c may not be a big name like the iPhone 5s but it’s still a quality smartphone with an attractive price tag and a device that shoppers on a budget would be wise to consider. There are also some devices that we think consumers need to weigh against the iPhone 5c and here, we take a look at the five devices worthy of consideration.
Throughout most of 2013, we heard that Apple had two iPhones planned for consumers. One was said to be the flagship, an iPhone 5s, while the other was rumored to be a plastic iPhone 5c. As expected, Apple debuted both iPhones at an event last September and put the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on sale two weeks later.
Apple killed off the iPhone 5 in favor of an iPhone lineup that consists of the $199.99 iPhone 5s, the $99 iPhone 5c and the iPhone 4s which it sells for free. The lineup will likely remain intact for much of 2014, up until Apple introduces the iPhone 6, the device that’s expected to replace the iPhone 5s as the company’s flagship later this year.
We’ve heard from a number of people who are thinking about picking up the iPhone 5c because of its affordable price point. The fact that it’s getting iOS 8 probably doesn’t hurt either.
