We learnt Oprah Winfrey has just cleared out her mansion. Her 23,000-square-foot $85 million Montecito estate is about to undergo a major renovation, which implies that Oprah’s mansion’s worth of furniture, and lots of other stuffs are going to be up for grabs and you too can own a part of it.
In her own magazine earlier this year Oprah granted an interview where she said that her ‘taste is evolving and the gilded mirrors, marble urns, the lavish carpets and sherbet palette was all very lavish but it wasn’t true to me’.
The things Oprah is clearing out include an exquisite antique Louis XVI chest that has been estimated to sell for between $30,000 to $50,000 plus a green plaid English George Smith sofa prized between $3,000 to $4,000.
