2face, Dbanj, Femi Kuti, Basketmouth for TOP10MICS Concert

It promises to be a clash of music heavyweights on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos as the likes of 2face, Dbanj, Basketmouth, Femi Kuti and others lock horns on stage at this year’s edition of the TOP10MICS concert.

The music concert which is been organised by entertainment powerhouse, Koga Entertainment will also feature Afro Juju legend, Sir Shina Peters with ace comedian, Basketmouth anchoring the widely publicized music event. The presenter of the Big Friday Show succeeds ace humorist, Alibaba who anchored last year’s concert at the TBS, Lagos.

I'm not asking who won this time, we all know Obama did. Mr Romney got served. Haha! Election day is two weeks today...vote for Obama!

K Solo gets engaged to another woman, flaunts her on Facebook

It's my job to bring you all the gossip...so enjoy...lol. Singer and producer K Solo is flaunting another woman on his Facebook page as his love and new fiancee, less than two months after he and pregnant wife, Kikelomo Oyeniyi came out to say their very public BREAK UP was just a publicity STUNT.

The new lady's name is Bimbo and they got engaged yesterday October 22nd. #dramathingz :-)

Tonto Dike Fires Back at Burna Boy

For those who don't understand why Tonto would Tweet and mention Burna Boy, let me explain. The day Tonto released her two singles, Burna Boy Tweeted that all wack artists deserve death, though he specifically said he wasn't referring to Ms Dike. Well, Tonto apparently didn't believe him, and after watching Burna Boy's fall from the stage at the Headies, the vivacious actress/singer fired back...and in true Tonto Dike fashion, she mentioned his name...hehe!

What do you guys think of Okada ban on 475 roads in Lagos State?

What do you guys think of Lagos State Government's ban of Okadas in Lagos? It's not like an outright ban, they are just not allowed to ply many roads in Lagos. 475 roads to be specific!

The Okada riders went on a rampage this morning destroying government property along Ikorodu Rd (They vandalized BRT buses), prompting the Lagos House of Assembly to threaten an outright ban if they continue to destroy government property.

Jim Iyke releases statement about alleged 11 year old son

A few days ago, Stella Dimoko Korkus broke the news about Jim Iyke recently finding out that he has an 11 year old son with an ex girlfriend who relocated to the UK many years ago. (If you missed it, read it HERE). The actor has released a statement via his media manager addressing the issue. See it below...

“Jim Iyke is aware of the viral story currently making the headlines and wishes to state that this is not the first time that issues of this nature have arisen. Friends and fans who follow his activities closely will recall a number of occasions in the past when baseless claims of paternity and even marriage were made. Nonetheless, as a responsible man, he is always disposed to verify any such development(s) brought to his attention and when any satisfactory outcome has been ascertained, the general public will be duly informed without ambiguity. The only specifics at the present time is that at the age of 22yrs-23yrs old he dated for a brief period the lady at the center of the story who subsequently left Nigeria for the UK. “There had been no contact between them ever since and by implication no linkling of the existence of a living product of that encounter. Dana Air named best domestic airline in Nigeria by FAAN

According to the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the airline company that crashed and killed 158 people in June 2012 is the best domestic carrier in Nigeria - well, they said in 2011. FAAN GM said Dana Air got the award because of its good customer service, and prompt payment of dues!

Prompt payment of dues? Oh I see why it's the best. Good maintenance of aircraft and the rest don't matter? Meanwhile Lufthanza Airlines was named best international carrier.

Yoruba actress Toyin Aimakhu is in love and wants everyone to know it. She's currently dating good looking Tinsel actor, Adeniyi Johnson. Toyin and Niyi met on a movie location early this year and have been inseparable since then, but only making their romance public now. Today (Oct. 21) starts the two-month countdown toward doomsday, according to an interpretation of the Mayan Calendar that has taken hold in some New Age and spiritualist communities online.

Two ancient texts confirm the end date of the Mayan Long Count calendar on the winter solstice of this year, which is Dec. 21, 2012. That day is the last day of the 13th bak'tun, or 144,000-day cycle, of the calendar. Ancient Maya would have seen the end of the 13th bak'tun as the end of a full cycle of creation.

Tai Solarin's widow, Sheila Solarin, passes on

Madam Sheila Solarin (Nee Tuer), the wife of Dr Tai Solarin, the educator and author who established the famous Mayflower School, Ikenne, Ogun State, has died. British born Sheila Mary, who was a co-founder of the Mayflower School, died today October 21st 2012 at Babcock University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu. She was 88 years old. Tai Solarin died in 1994 at the age of 71. May her soul rest in peace...amen.

A church run by a controversial multi-millionaire African preacher has been accused of ‘cynical exploitation’ after its British branch received £16.7 million in donations from followers who were told that God would give them riches in return.

Followers are ferried in double-decker shuttle buses to the church, handed slips inviting them to make debit card payments, and are even told obeying the ministry’s teachings will make them immune from illness.
