The Lagos State Government on Thursday said vehicular movements would be restricted in parts of Lagos on Nov. 26 during this year's Eyo festival.
Mr Kayode Opeifa, Commissioner for Transportation, said in a statement that vehicular movements would be restricted between 6.00 a.m. and 12 midnight.
``From Third Mainland Bridge, exit to Adeniji/Adele Rd. to Idumagbo, exit to Bamgbose/Lafiaji through Simpson St., will be blocked for traffic.``www.mannastores.com
The commissioner added that the Obalende/Five Cowrie Bridge to Onikan Roundabout from Obalende would be closed to traffic during the period.
Opeifa also said that vehicular movement to Tafawa Balewa Square through Onikan Roundabout and exit to Force Rd., from Onikan /Obalende Bridge/Five Cowrie Bridge would be restricted.
For motorists going to TBS through Carter Bridge, Opeifa said that they would not be able to move as road into Idumota/Ereko/Nnandi Azikwe st., would be blocked at the top of Idumagbo Bridge.
The commissioner urged motorists to comply with the restrictions,
He also said traffic officials had mobilised to ensure free flow of traffic during the festival, adding the government was committed to a stress-free festival.
