Our Banking system needs to be trusted with client’s information, since credit cards and the like are always attached to once bank account. Nigeria banking system needs to have a system that worldwide banking and credit card institute can really on. Once account details can be verify to be true, I believe most credit card firm won’t need 48hrs wait before processing orders from Nigeria.
Trust also comes into play, even if we are allowed to make online payments and shop from foreign website, most Nigerians are so dubious that once they receive their orders here in Nigeria, they now go back and lay a complain that they have not receive the orders, asking for a refund. I believe if we can conquer these two issues regarding online payments and shopping from Nigeria, the sky will be our start point.
