THE wife of Juju musician, Dr Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, Lady Evangelist Juliana Olaide Obey-Fabiyi, is dead.
Lady Evangelist Obey-Fabiyi, who recently returned from a trip to India, where she had gone to seek medical attention, was re-admitted to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital where she finally died on Tuesday night.
Aged 67, the frontline businesswoman and poultry farmer, is survived by her husband and many children.www.mannastores.com
In his reaction to the death of his wife of 48 years, Evangelist Obey -Fabiyi referred to the Holy Scriptures which stated in Psalm 48:14 that, “For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even unto death.”
The deceased was born to the Onifade family on March 23, 1945 and got married to Evangelist Obey-Fabiyi in 1963.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State government said it learnt with rude shock and deep sense of loss the sad news of the death of Lady Evangelist Obey- Fabiyi.
A statement from the state government read: “The late Obey-Fabiyi was a strong pillar of De-cross Gospel Mission, a worthy partner of Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi and a role model to all and sundry.
“For 48 years that she spent as wife of Evangelist Obey-Fabiyi, who remains one of the heroes from our dear state, the late Obey-Fabiyi was instrumental to the success of the musical band led by her husband,” the statement added.
