Barely two months after he jointly won the much coveted Africa’s Best Act with fellow country man D’Banj at the 2011 edition of Black Entertainment Awards, 2face Idibia is set to explode again.
In a musical collaboration that may redefine the fortune of the Benue State born musician, Showtime gathered the multi talented singer, songwriter and producer has finished recording a duet with the CEO of Konvict muzic Akon in the United States.www.mannastores.com
The song was recorded at Akon’s Konvict studio’s in Atlanta. Our source also confirmed that the promotional CDs of this brand new single are already being put together. But the title of the bew single is being kept under wraps.
Akon had dropped hints of the new collaboration between the superstars when he tweeted on the social network Tweeter few days after the Kanye West and Mo’hits’ deal was sealed.
His tweet read “@Akon: Me and @2faceidibia working on a master plan in Atlanta! The world is not ready! African Connection”
In the same light, 2face Idibia may also be releasing a new album sooner than expected if the story going round is anything to go by. Reports have it that he is recording his forthcoming album in the America in the personal studios of R Kelly.
2Face is currently nominated in this year’s edition of the Channel O Musica Video Awards.
