Victoria and David Beckham welcome 'healthy and happy' baby girl

Victoria and David Beckham have announced the arrival of their new baby who was born in Los Angeles this morning - a little sister for their three boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

Victoria's long-awaited daughter has finally arrived and although the newborn's name has been announced as yet, the Beckhams released a statement confirming that the baby was 'happy and healthy'.

The family's spokesman said: 'David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter.
'Happy and healthy she arrived at 7.55 am this morning at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and weighed 7lbs 10oz.
'Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family.'

Victoria announced her pregnancy in January this year by posting the news on social media site Facebook and the family confirmed they were expecting a girl the following month.

Speculation about the name chosen for the latest addition to the Beckham clan has resulted in Vida - an amalgamation of Victoria and David - and Luna being touted as options favoured by the former Spice Girl.
Earlier this month, it was anticipated that the Victoria had booked herself in for a caesarean section on July 4, forcing the the Beckhams' publicist to deny the rumours on Twitter.
