Oduduwa Statue
Do you know that late Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo did not live in the UK for up to 4 years continuously? Do you know that "the best president Nigeria never had" was instrumental to the establishment of Odua Group of companies?
Do you also know that if the present assets and investment of Odua Investment were to be taken away from Lagos, there will be no more works for Lagosians?
In 2010, The Diaspora Nigerians remitted or transferred to Nigeria a colossal sum of over $18 billion or between N2.7 and N2.85 Trillion, whereas the budget of the country for that same year was N5.2 Trillion.
It shows that it is the money we have sent home that serves as lubricant in the country's economic engine.
Disappointingly, the money that was sent home merely provides sustenance for our people without true development to accompany it. www.mannastores.com
If we can however, and strategically too, reduce the amount we send home by a fraction, putting the cut back in a pool, you and I know what type of industry $1 billion to $5 billion can establish, which will create thousands of employment in addition to making returns to us as investors.
To this end, a group of people, that cut across religion, but who are true OMOLUABI - Yoruba - Sons and daughters of Oduduwa, have established an investment company called Luabi Investment Limited, which shall borrow leaves from Odua Investment but address the immediate need of the hour of Yoruba land are inviting you to a presentation night, where all possibilities on ground and modus operandi of Luabi are made opened.
We believe that the Yoruba in Diaspora can kick start the required Industrial Revolution that will make us to be self-sufficient within the shortest possible time.
