Venus Williams withdraws from French Open

  

Venus pulled out of the Australian Open in January through injury 

Venus Williams's agent has confirmed that the seven-time Grand Slam champion will not compete in the French Open, which begins on 22 May.

The 30-year-old American last played in January when she withdrew from the Australian Open third round because of an abdominal injury.
A knee injury also ensured Williams played only one tournament over the final six months of 2010.
Venus's sister, Serena, pulled out of the French Open on Thursday.
Serena has been sidelined by two foot operations and blood clots in her lung.www.mannamart.com
