Oluseun Fashina : Nigerian student shot dead in The U.S

Tears flowed freely as the corpse of Oluseun Fashina popularly known as “Olie”, a Nigerian undergraduate law student of the University of Maryland, College Park was laid to rest on Saturday at Clinton cemetery in Maryland,USA.
His death occurred around 4:14 am on Sunday, April 17th, 2011 when officers from the Prince Georges County police were informed of a shooting at Glenshire Drive. On arrival at the scene, the officers found Seun soaked in his blood at the 1500 block of Jennings Lane, near his house in Bowie. He later died at a nearby hospital after all efforts to save him were unsuccessful. The County Police have since arrested Ransford Caulker 25, Tanseh John Nicholas 25, and Alusine Kanu 22, in connection with the crime and have
all been held without bond. The trio were said to have had a disagreement which led to Seun being shot.
Some Nigerian Community who attended the funeral expressed concerns over the spate of shootings and  among college students even as they hailed the 23 year old boy as humble, easy going and God fearing
person.
Pastor Oye Sobo of Watchman Ministries, Glenn Dale described him as “a really brilliant kid.”
May his sould rest in eternal peace
