National Youth Service Corps member, Toritseju Lodge, who was shot dead
last Monday, in Oghara, has been laid to rest.
Late Lodge, until his tragic death was serving in Imo State but returned
to Oghara, Delta State for the last Easter celebration. He was reportedly
with friends when masked gunmen arrived and shot him dead.
According to a family source, while his
parents lived in Sapele, he rented an apartment in Oghara. So
when he returned for the Easter celebration, he chose to stay there.
"He was standing
outside that night with a teenager at about 11p.m, checking his phone when the gunmen
suddenly emerged and shot him thrice" the source disclosed.
"They took his
mobile phone, removed the SIM and took memory cards before destroying the phone
and disappearing into the night." he added.
