The senate rules were altered- Senate Chip whip, Olusola Adeyeye says
Senator
Olusola Adeyeye who is the senate chief whip, has revealed that the senate
rules were altered. Adeyeye who was a senator in the last senate, says the
senate order being used by this 8th Senate is different from the one that was
used in the last senate. Adeyeye said this in an interview with Channels TV
yesterday June 26th. But he said he could not answer directly if the current
senate order had been forged
"I don't know how to answer that and the
reason is this. I am a member of the current senate. I am a principle officer
of the current senate. The rules that we have now are different from the one we
had in the 7th National Assembly. There is no question about that. Let the
court decide whether it was forged or not. The senate rule was altered. Nobody
can deny that" Speaking on the main alteration in the senate order,
Adeyeye said "The main alteration in the senate order is that in the 7th
National Assembly, voting had to be done publicly. In this current one, it was
done privately. There are other things. I don't want to get into it because the
case is in court. It is not fair for me to do that"he said
