Eva Longoria popped her left breast out at a pre-Oscars party. And Christina Hendricks and Olivia Munn's phones were somehow hacked, revealing their semi-naked pictures to the public.
And that's just the last week.
Go back a few months and you'll find public 'nip slips' from the likes of Demi Lovato, Lea Michele, Rihanna, Khloe Kardashian, Emma Watson, Lady Gaga, Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Lopez (yes, she did it earlier, too.), Nicki Minaj, Courtney Love, Milo Jovovich..
I have written about this in the past. It's my belief that nip slipping and other public exposures are not accidental. The actresses engage in the practice to generate publicity for a new movie or TV show -- or perhaps to revive a declining career.
I still believe that. But I am beginning to wonder if there's more going on here as well as coming off. Perhaps some of the actresses in question are yearning for attention, and not just the usual 'I want to promote my movie' kind of attention. There is so much of this going on that it makes me wonder if some actresses are fulfilling some psychological need to be seen naked in public.
