Most Popular and prestigious award show in nigeria, hiphopworld awards will be changing name this year and the new name is 'THE HEADIES' , In a press release by the organizers on tuesday, the man behind the award show, Ayo Animashaun disclosed
'It was just a matter of time. Everyone in house has been calling the award that name forever; because that's what we christened our plaque. I think the name is more hip and trendy, and it helps us place proper focus on the prize, which is the plaque; the headies; the prize to die for'
The 2011 edition will not be holding in may like the previous editions, due to the on-going elections. And it has been confirmed that this year's edition will not be taking place in Lagos as the new venue has not been disclosed yet.
