According
to Abubakar Auta, the Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of his cousin, a
soldier who had been missing for a year. He reportedly died on the frontline at
Gudunbale area of Borno State. Another family member confirmed the sad news on
Facebook. May his soul rest in peace, Amen. Abdul Usman shared photos of the
slain soldier and wrote:

Lagos Assembly summons contractor of poorly constructed road In Itokin-Ikorodu
The Lagos State House
of Assembly has reportedly summoned DHV Nigeria Limited, the construction
company that handled the Federal Low Cost Bye Pass Itokun road in Ikorodu North
Local Council Development Area, Lagos. There was a report yesterday that the
road, commissioned just last week, has already started deteriorating. (Read here).

Nigerian youths today fell for a fake recruitment advert sent out via Whatsapp.
A fake message was drafted and sent out by a prankster, claiming that people
who have a B.sc and are interested in a 80k salary paying job at a call center
in Guaranty Trust Bank plc, should come for an interview by 9am in VI, Lagos.
People thought it was true and hundreds of youths, even from outside Lagos,
came formally dressed but were shocked to find out it was a hoax. See tweets

Mauritius goalkeeper Leopold arrested after police find 22 doses of heroin in his house

international goalkeeper, Joseph Kinsley Steward Leopold who was part of
the country's team at the last Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign

they found 22 doses of heroin, razor blades, scales and

Six people were
reportedly found dead and two others unconscious earlier today at 50-50 Hotel,
located around Uyo street in Umuahia, Abia State. According to Abia Facts

"The hotel is a brothel and the girls
living there have had experience of mysterious slaps some weeks back that left
one person unconscious. This incident of strange slaps made all the occupant of
the brothel to leave, only for the owner to recruit news ladies from other
cities. Unfortunately, 3 ladies and their customers are today not
alive to tell the story of what happened or what befallen them over night that
left them dead.

Catholic priests were recently attacked by Fulani Herdsmen in Enugu State.
According to reports, the priests, Rev Fr Chetanna Jude Chukwuneke, Fr Emmanuel
Dim and Fr Prof Ezeokana were in a car when the incident occurred. Chukwuenke
was driving his car along Obimo in Uzo-Uwani when the suspected herdsmen
emerged from a bush in a bad spot of the road and shot him in the head but
thankfully he didn't die. They also injured the passengers, kidnapping one in
the process.

Swiss Parliament votes to ban Muslim women from wearing the Burka in public
The
parliament in Switzerland has voted to ban the Muslim Burka from being worn in
public.The National Council on Tuesday voted
88 votes in favour of the ban while 87 voted against with 10 abstentions.
Members voted in favour
of a ruling that “no person shall cover his face in public places and in places
or hide in the public domain or the provision of public services (excluding
sacred sites).”
According to Swiss media
reports. For the vote to be passed into law and made effective, the ruling will
have to undergo further scrutiny and more voting in the Parliament.

Some
Catholic priests were attacked by Fulani Herdsmen in Enugu State on Sept 26th. According to

Eddy Favour Imeh was
arrested in August 2013 after it was discovered that he swallowed 46 capsules
of the drugs before boarding his flight from Brussels. The Nigerian was
