17 year old Nigerian girl breaks sports record at an Indian university
Esther Ruby Daniel, a
17 year old Nigerian has broken the sports record in Amity University, Haryana,
India where she is a 200 level student.
Esther who is from Akwa Ibom state in her first month in the school won a silver medal during All Indian Law Student University Games this year, she won a gold medal in signing in February.

She has also won a gold medal in 200 meters and silver medal in long jump on 5th and 6th October respectively. On 14th October, she won another Gold in 100 meters race and a golden cup in her final game. She also won a bronze medal for the university during the 100 meters race with other universities.
According to her father, Rev Daniel Thomas, who issued a statement he said his daughter is now a pride to Amity University, Nigeria and Africa. Esther currently has a total of 5 medals and a golden cup to her name.
