Thug punches 5-day-old baby girl in the face and then says ‘sorry I thought it was a doll’
A
terrified young mum Amy Duckers watched as a thug ran up to her and
punched her 5 day old baby in the face while in Tesco Supermarket in Baguley,
Greater Manchester .
After punching tiny
Elsie Rose - the hooligan then calmly apologized and said: “Sorry I thought it
was a doll.”
Amy Duckers said she was
‘absolutely broken and torn apart’ by the brutal assault on her infant daughter
and says even Elsie’s elder sister Libby, 7, thought the thug had killed baby
Elsie. The baby who weighs just 6lbs 12oz, was raced to hospital but wasn't
seriously injured and has been released to the family.
Mum Amy Duckers said to
Manchester Evening News: “I’m absolutely broken and torn apart. I can’t believe
what me and my daughter had to see last night it was just so horrific.
“I never ever want
anyone to have to go through that again.
“We all heard the punch
land on my little baby. We didn’t react at first as we were just so shocked.
“Then I just screamed.
He could easily have killed her.”
Amy told the Manchester
Evening News: “Our neighbour then saw one of her work colleagues who was with
her husband and said, ‘Aww come and have a look at this lovely baby’.
“The next thing he ran
over and punched Elsie Rose in the face leaving a very big fist mark shape
across her forehead.
“We were mortified. My
daughter was screaming thinking he had killed the baby.
“He then just apologized
and said ‘sorry I thought it was a doll.”
