3 dead, 14 missing, after bus conveying family members plunge into river in Kaduna state
Three persons have been
confirmed dead while fourteen others were injured after an 18-seater bus
carrying members of a family plunged into River Rijana on Kaduna-Abuja
expressway Tuesday September 20th. Confirming the incident, the Head of
Operations, Kaduna Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC),
Salisus Galadunci, said only person survived the horrible accident.
“The incident was reported by the only survivor, a woman who managed to report to an FRSC ambulance stationed at Doka unit, along Kaduna-Abuja expressway, around 7 am on Wednesday.

Doka, Katari and Kakau were immediately dispatched with ambulances, and with
support of local divers to search for survivors. Eventually, only three bodies
were recovered, while the remaining persons could not be found, including the survivor’s
daughter,” he said
