A government official said on condition of
anonymity that six people were killed on
Thursday in three explosions that
targeted a Yemeni government army compound in
the south-eastern city of Mukalla.
He said in Sana'a that
the back-to-back blasts injured at least 10 people, and the casualties included
civilians.
He said one explosion
was carried out by a suicide car bombing.
The attack came weeks
after forces loyal to Saudi-backed Yemeni President Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi
retook control of Mukalla from al-Qaeda insurgents.
