Jonathan appoints Ogungbesan acting FIRS Chair

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Mr. Samuel Ogungbesan as Act­ing Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Ogungbesan, a Coordinat­ing Director at FIRS, replaces Alhaji Kabiru Mashi, who has served as acting Executive Chairman of the agency since 2012.

The Special Adviser on Me­dia and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, said the appointment is with immediate effect.
