Sacked Keshi Is Back!

Super Eagles Coach, Steven Keshi who was recently relieved of his post as the team’s coach is back. The media officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye announced this on twitter this morning.

Findings also revealed that Keshi has been asked to return to his post as part of reconciliatory moves in the Nigeria Football Federation as ordered by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Two Musicians Arraigned For Raping Dancer

Two performing artists are standing trial before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos State, western Nigeria, over an alleged rape and indecent assault on a female dancer.

The two musicians, Ekene Uzor, 27, and Eni Daniel, 24, were arrested when the victim (name withheld) reported to the police that the suspects allegedly conspired to rape and blackmail her.

The 20-year old victim alleged that the musicians lured her to Uzor’s residence at 10, Joel Ajeye Street, Ejigbo, Lagos, where she was forced to remove her clothes and suck their penises.

Kano Governor Collects Presidential Nomination Form! Says Nigerians Bought It For Me

Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso has picked APC’s presidential nomination form. The Governor who intends to contest against President Jonathan of PDP if he wins APC’s primaries by defeating Buhari and former vice president Atiku Abubakar said his form was also bought for him by Nigerians.

It will be recalled that General Buhari claimed he got his own money through a bank loan, while President Jonathan listed those who contributed money to get his.

Kwankwaso while speaking after collecting his Presidential Nomination Form at the cost of N27.5million also listed the parties who contributed to his form and thanked them.

I want to thank those who contributed in one way or another in purchasing this form. Mr Chairman, while I am thanking the National Working Committee, I want to also thank those who contributed money to purchase this form – members of the National Assembly, Kano State Assembly, elders not only from Kano but across the country’, he said.

Newly sworn-in Governor of Ekiti State who has been criticised for making provision for stomach infrastructure immediately he got into office has explained why he actually created an office for it.

Fayose while speaking at the PDP national secretariat yesterday, when he accompanied President Goodluck Jonathan to pick his presidential forms said, even Britain does it. His words;

If you look at Britain, as rich and as comfortable as they are, in the entire time, they find their way to address the issue of the poor and less privileged masses in their country by what they call social security. Food is a social security, you can’t be talking to a hungry man, he would be distracted by any means. Secondly, when we say stomach infrastructure, it is a welfare programme, a programme that would keep the heart of a man stable.”

Explosion Rocks Bus Station In Gombe

An explosion has occurred this morning at the Popular Gombe Line Transport Services Limited according to eye witnesses.

Though details of the incident are still sketchy, a resident of the area, said he saw about five people being evacuated to the Gombe General Hospital and can’t tell how many people that have been injured.

SCOAN Lawyer Says TB Joshua Less Concerned About Inquest, As Another Lawyer Wants Investigations Stopped

The coroner conducting an inquest into the cause of the building collapse at The Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, today, threatened to order the arrest of T.B Joshua, the church’s founder, if he fails to honour the invitation extended to him, Premium Times reports.

The Magistrate said the court does not owe anyone an explanation for its decision to invite Mr. Joshua.

Mr. Joshua, whose real name is Temitope Balogun Joshua, is billed to testify at the inquest on November 5.

Joy Willaims, a 23-year old Nigerian girl has left her families in sorrow after travelling to Bangkok this month for a buttock augmentation without their consent.

Joy travelled to Bangkok with £2000 to have the surgery at SP clinic which turned out to be a success at first, but shortly after that, it turned out that her wounds had already become infected.

She rushed back for a corrective surgery, but sadly Joy died on the operating table

FG Withdraws Tambuwal's Security Details?

All the security details attached to Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal have been withdrawn this morning by the Federal Government Daily Trust reports.

"Early this morning, few minutes after midnight to be precise, top level security report informed the Speaker that orders have been given for the withdrawal of his security details,” the news site said.

It will be recalled that Tambuwal formally announced his defection from PDP to APC on Tuesday while the party immediately called on him to resign his position as Speaker having left the party that brought him to the House of Representatives in 2011.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has urged the speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, to leave office after Mr. Tambuwal officially announced his defection from the party to All Progressives Congress, APC, according to Premium Times.

The clearest indication he was joining the opposition party came more than a week ago when he attended a meeting of the APC in Sokoto State.

He said the state governor, Aliyu Wammako, had invited him for the meeting after he was snubbed by a visiting PDP delegation to the state, led by Tony Anenih, the Board of Trustees chairman.

Dr. Bello Ahmed, the acting provost of the College of Education (Technical) in Zamfara State has been jailed for 5 years by a Zamfara State High Court for collecting double Duty Tour Allowance from the college for an official trip to attend a board meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, while also collecting an equal amount as DTA from JAMB, which includes sitting allowances, all totalling N385,000.00.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission who had arraigned Ahmed warned public servants to desist from collecting double DTA from their agencies and also receiving or demanding same in cash or facilities.
